CONEXPO a Success for Virnig Manufacturing

Attracting more than 100,000 visitors, CONEXPO-CON/AGG is the USA’s largest exhibition for the construction industry and is held every three years. Exhibiting from a booth in the outdoor “Festival Grounds” lot, Virnig Manufacturing received plenty of sun and an extremely positive response from many prospects and customers from all around the USA.

Virnig's booth attracted visitors from Australia, Argentina, and New Zealand. Many people commented about the high-caliber and build quality of the skid steer attachments. These skid steer attachments are meant to conquer various construction projects.

It’s always great to see existing clients, and this was the perfect opportunity to discuss the new V70 Tree Disc Mulcher which was on display.

We got feedback from dealers in Ohio who had their customers demo the mulcher. We learned it recovered quicker than their competitor's mulcher, seemed lighter on the machine, and the weight was distributed better. Specifically, when the attachment got up high, it felt more sturdy and less top heavy. Overall, it's beefier than other disc mulcher attachments.

Many people asked "What are the differences between a disc mulcher and a drum mulcher attachment?" In a nutshell, disc mulchers are less expensive. They also have the ability to pull 6-8” diameter trees into the deck and mulch them quicker than a drum mulcher. Disc mulchers clear more area in less time which lowers overall operating costs.

Drum mulchers generally produce less mess and a finer finish in initial knock down. They are also safer to use when mulching near buildings and roads. The right mulching attachment option is largely dependent on budget and what your projects require.
