CASE STUDY: Mighty Mouse Services LLC – Precision in Challenging Terrain
We had the honor & privilege of filming Tim and his team at Mighty Mouse Services in North Carolina.
Mighty Mouse specializes in work that others can’t or won’t do. This could mean difficult or unusual terrain, special care in urban areas, or complicated restoration projects.
Using Virnig's Mini Excavator Rotary Brush Cutter, Mighty Mouse maneuvered deftly in a residential zone near homes and a golf course. He cleared brush and trees along an embankment, careful of a drainage field that couldn’t take on any debris.
We were impressed with the precise moves Tim made while operating to make sure he was safe with the heavy equipment, the humans filming, AND the water treatment area.

Another Virnig attachment that Mighty Mouse uses in their arsenal is the V40 Open Front Rotary Brush Cutter. There's a great story behind this pairing, as Mighty Mouse struggled with many competitor brand cutters until they finally found the perfect fit for their wheel loader.

CAN YOU TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR COMPANY?
I'm Tim with Mighty Mouse Services. We do vegetation management, extreme terrains. We have a tendency of getting the jobs nobody else wants to cut.
WHICH VIRNIG ATTACHMENTS DO YOU OWN OR RENT?
We currently have a Virnig V40 (cutter), which is on the loader. We have demo'd the new X30 (cutter) for the excavator.
HOW DOES VIRNIG COMPARE TO OTHER BRANDS YOU'VE USED?
With the wheel loader, we did a lot of trial and error to find out what worked best. Compact wheel loaders are not your average animal that you're going to see a brush cutter on.
There were a couple other manufacturers, Virnig was the one that ended up catching my eye the most just because of the specs on it. And thinkin that, I think this is going to work the best.
WHAT STOOD OUT ABOUT VIRNIG?
Whenever you get onto Virnig's website, it ended up having tip speed, hydraulic pressures, minimum pressures, all the information that we had to use to try and calculate is this the attachment that's actually going to work for us.
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE FEATURE ABOUT YOUR VIRNIG ATTACHMENT?
It actually process the vegetation insanely nice. It holds up really well, it skis well across the bottom of the terrain. It doesn't gouge or scalp nearly as much as others that we've rented in the past from different manufacturers.
Virnig has the strongest welds and best quality as far as bang for the buck that we've looked at.
WHAT'S YOUR OVERALL IMPRESSION OF VIRNIG?
So far we've been insanely happy. We've had the V40 for a year and a half now, going on two years. We got it shortly after getting the loader, so it's been married to that for any of these large brush cutting jobs/vegetation jobs that we end up using.
It's been holding up insanely well. We haven't, other than one hidden obstruction that we ended up hitting that bent the blades, we haven't had any issues, and again the customer support was really well.
